do we determine skin /hide quality?
This is what we look for in both hides and skins:
- Hair slips
- Number of holes
- Skin infections
- Brand marks
- Knife cuts
- Size of the skins
All the above enables us to class both hides
and skins to their various classes that is from
grade 1, grade 11, grade 111,grade 1V and rejects.
Hides and skins with no hair slips, no holes
,no brand marks, no knife cuts, no infections
no skin bruises ….we class them as grade
1.The size of hides and skins also matters as
it grades them differently since their purchase
and selling prices varies as per their sizes
NOTE: All our
hides and skins are hand flayed
Do you have any ventures
with the community?
We sensitize our suppliers and also slaughter
houses on ways of handling farm animals, slaughtering
them and preserving both hides and skins to improve
the quality of hide. This we achieve through holding
educational seminars, provide magazines and working
with veterinary officials so that we enhance the
Quality of our products.
